Sometimes, when you’re a traveler at heart but the timing isn’t right, you have to make a location come to you. So when I realized that my 30th birthday was not just happening on a Saturday night, but the Saturday night before the Oscars, I decided to bring Hollywood to Paris.
We had a red carpet, golden statues, and lots of bubbles. Plus, I had the most important accessory of all: the red dress. π
For a little glimpse at our glamorous affair, here are a few of my favorite photos:
And that wasn’t the only thing I did for my birthday. I also took a big leap and… made a list! More on that up next. π

Wow, this looks like one fantastic birthday party!
Thanks – it definitely was!
Happy, happy birthday, you gorgeous in the red-dress traveler. How’d you do the “extra sparkle”? I see you didn’t get the typical Oscar statue – was yours a statue for the star of the evening? Sante’.
Hi Molly! Thanks for your kind words! Actually my friend added the extra sparkle in that photo, not sure how… but the night was certainly fun! I hope you’re well!
Hi Nikki, it looks like you had a great time. I love the creative spin you put on the party.
Thank you! It was definitely a great time… now I’m looking for my next excuse for a theme party π
