Before this post becomes too outdated, I wanted to share a unique little yuletide trinket I found here in France, that roused both nostalgia for my upbringing in the States and appreciation for the French in my life.
Ladies & Gentleman, I present: the Où est Charlie? advent calendar!
Look familiar, folks from home? I hope so. Because if you never engaged in a thorough search for Charlie, errr, I mean Waldo, your childhood is sorely lacking.
I saw this treasure at my local supermarket and had to bring it home with me. I found Charlie/Waldo, and I enjoyed all 24 pieces of milk chocolate.
So if you celebrate anything during the month of December, I hope it was great. And if not, well I hope you had a heckuva month. 😉
See you next year, when I recap the how we did in 2012–thanks to WordPress! 🙂
Awesome! Sharing this on Twitter. Happy New Year, Perpetual Passenger! Bisous
Thank you… Bonne année! Bisous 🙂
This is great! Not only because I also love the Waldo books (we still have three) but Charlie in French? I had to look that up. Turns out, Waldo gets around. He’s everywhere, under lots of names. Most are variations on Waldo (Wally, Walter, Willy, Valli) but only one Charlie! I also found Holger surprising. Cheers to you, the New Year and new words.
